I recently read another article about these BEATTYS and GIBBS.
The article mentioned "In 1767, CAPTAIN SAMUEL BEATTY, of Dublin, Ireland, married BRIDGET DAY, of Langford County, Ireland.Months later Captain Samuel Beatty sailed to America landing at Wilmington, NC near the Cape Fear River.He died before his wife arrived to be with him. She remained in America and married JAMES WHITE.She had a son with her first husband Samuel Beatty who was adopted by her second husband James White. The son was WILLIAM HENRY BEATTY. WILLIAM HENRY BEATTY was said to have married SOPHIA GIBBS daughter of GEORGE GIBBS.This GIBBS family lived at LAKE WACCAMAW"....

Is this story true? If so, who were these Gibbs?
A brother of George Gibbs may have been JOHN GIBBS. I would like more on these Gibbs brothers if someone could help me.
