I am researching the Beattie family who in the 1800s lived in Co Armagh (Markethill district) David Beattie was born 14/10/1886 in Co Armagh and died 17/10/1958 in Glasgow. His parents were William Beattie b @ 1859 Co Armagh (it appears he worked for the railways) and Jane Eliza McConnell. The family had 3 children born in Co ARMAGH and between 1886 and 1891 the family moved over to Lanarkshire Scotland where they had threee more children. By 1901 the whole family were back living in MArkethill area of Co Armagh. I know some of the Beatties returned to Scotland as David Beattie married Christina McKenzie in Glasgow in 1913. William Beattie m JAne Eliza in 1881 and his father is named as William (poss b @ 1830). I am stuck in tracing any more info on this Beattie family and would welcome any info (also am willing to swap my info)
