We are trying to determine relationship of several people of the last name BEAL.
1. James Pinkney BEAL (b. abt 1818, married Delilah Sisco 5/16/1843 Madison Co., AL) moved to Texas by 1860. They had 10 children born in AL, TN, MS, and TX.
2. Henry BEAL (b. abt 1800 married to Judith). They had at least 2 girls (Dianna and Mary) and 1 boy. Judith is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Madison Co. AL where she died 1/2/1845.
3. Elizabeth C. Beal (m. Hillary Y. Garrison 1854). Garrison was a Methodist minister, and so they moved around a lot. They had one son, William, and a nephew William BEAL was living with Elizabeth Garrison in 1880 in Lee Co., Arkansas. Her death notice indicates that she had a sister named Rachel Ellett. Elizabeth died 9/5/1880.
4. Rachel BEAL (m.1st to John O Connally 10/12/1834 Madison Co., AL and m. 2nd to Alfred Henry Ellett 8/19/1847 Madison Co., AL.) Her children were Mary, Andrew, and Sally Connally and Fanny Ellett. She died 9/14/1878 and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Madison Co., AL.

Is anyone researching these families and have any additional information regarding them?

I am helping a professor create a documented list of the participants of the Fort Mims massacre on Aug. 30, 1813, in Baldwin Co. AL. A James Bealle was one of a few who escaped. In checking records I find only one possibility - James Bell who was in Madison Co. AL in 1810 , on tax list there through 1816 and who married Cynderilla Spriggs on Jan 8, 1818 or Silvia Vinson Oct 1, 1818. Do you know anything of this man?
Thanks,
Sue Moore

I believe that my James Beal was born around 1818, so this information is very interesting to me. Could this James Bell who married in 1818 be my James Beal's father, or could the James Bealle for whom you are looking be my James Beal's father? Unfortunately, I don't have any information on either name. I would definitely be interested in any information you find regarding the James Bealle who escaped the Fort Mims massacre.
Good Luck

My husband, JOhnny Wilson, is from Cass county, Texas and James Hilmer Beal, son of James Pinkney Beal and Delilah Sisco. James Hilmer is listed as "James G." in a lot of places, but I assure it is James Hilmer. He moved to Marion County, Texas. I have never found parents for James Pinkney Beal, always a dead end. Confused many time with James Peter Pyle as having the same birthday, married on the same day and Delilah Sisco also confused with delia Sanders. My 2-mail is dlw324@comcast.net and we live in Houma, La. Would like to hear from you.
