Hello. Not sure if you are still looking but I think Charlotte Gait is my fifth great grandmother.
Best wishes

Hi, Rebecca! What a great surprise and pleasure to receive your E-Mail about Robert Beecham. Yes, I am still looking and have got nowhere. I have never found Robert's or Charlotte's parents or place(s) of birth, and never established if there is a link to my William Beecham who married in Compton Martin and lived there at he same time as Robert.

Any information would be very welcome.

David

Hi David. My relatives are William Howell who married Henrietta Howell, daughter of Robert Beacham & Charlotte Gait. I have only just started this family history malarkey 1 year ago so I only discovered this family back to Roberts' parents - Robert Beacham and a Mary Badman, yesterday! I'd love to go to Compton Martin to see if there is more info at local churchyard etc., but live in Yorkshire, UK. We do go down to Cornwall each year in the summer so I hope to go on the way then. Do let me know if you have any leads! I have the 1841 & 1851 census which suggest Robert Beacham 1791-1873 was born there. Sad that he died at Clutton workhouse but he was 82 and some gave the best sort of care in those days. I'll let you know if I find anymore
Lovely to get your reply
Rebecca

Hi, Rebecca! Welcome to the exciting, but often frustrating, world of geneology,
I have quite a bit on Robert and Charlotte, and the Howells. I also have a contact who is in your family line.

I have been to CM three times. I have in the USA since 1966 (long story) and used to get back the UK atleast once a year. Been seven years now.

Communication over the Board is difficult so I wonder if we could change to E-mail? Mine is DavidPenn@aol.com. Enter it in Google and you will see lots of postings in various Rootsweb messge boards.

Hoping to get an E-mail,

David (Beecham) PA USA, where the snwo is hanging around and the temperature is 32 F with 20 mph winds.
