David Beach born on his parents farm in South Gower TWP Grenville Conn. march 26 1819 and moved with his parents
to their Oxford Twp farm approx 1831. He recieved his masters degree from Victoria colledge, Cobourg. David was married in Montreal Oct 18 1852 to Sarah Jane Cooke. David taught school in Hamilton On until 1847 when he moved to Newburgh ON where he was a professor in a preparatory school. Later he moved to Kingston ON where he edited the Kingston Whig. He died in Kemptville On May 20 1866. Interred in Kemptville Cemetery. It is reported that he was campaigning for Sir Oliver Mowat and contracted a severe cold and pneumonia which resulted in his death. His widow moved with her family to New Yok city then to Jersey City NJ where she died Mar 21 1912.
Herbert Cooke Beach born in Whitby ON May 1 1861. After the death of his father he lived with his uncle Mahlon F Beach in Winchester, then worked for lbert Rose in Mountain Twp. IN 1879 he went to Manitobe and hauled freight on old Gov't. Trail between Crystal City and Emerson until 1896. Married in Killarney, Man Jan 14 1891 to Margaret Milliken born in Dundas Co Sept 12 1864. daughter on James and Susan Jane (Blow) Milliken . In 1896 they moved to a farm new St John N.D.. In 1906 moved to another farm near Mountain Home Idaho where he died Feb 17 1950 age 89 years
