I am interested in speaking to anyone who may be related to me or who recognizes the above name. My father was born January 17, 1933 and died February 19, 1983. I have relatives mostly on the east coast (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia (esp. counties of Northumberland, Lancaster, Westmoreland, and Richmond). His father's name was Hiram Carroll Bea and his mother's name was Julia Fredell Noel Bea. Any information would be helpful. You are also free to write to me at 2329 White Owl Way, Suitland, MD 20746.

Don't know that paticular name, but there are Fredell's
in my family line from the east coast. My grandmother's
maiden name was Fredell, and she lived in PA. I don't
know if she was born there as of yet, but my mother
was born in Philly, and my ggrandmother lived and died
there. Contact me and we will search what we can for a
connection. tstar101@yahoo.com

My father and brother were/are both named Arthur.
I have done some extensive geneaology on my
tree, but all the Bea's were from Germany (Baden)

I have Beas from Chester Co.,PA. I don't have an Arthur Bea. I just started on this line and as far as I can tell, they came from NJ. I am in contact with a couple of other Bee researchers who descend from NJ Bees.

I have BEA's in my maternal family line. Robert BEA b ca 1840's and his wife Eliza F. WEST b ca 1840. On their son Adelberts deaths records they say they came from Seneca county NY. Census records show Robert BEA's father being from PA and his mother Canada. This family moved to MN about 1870. They had a twins: George/Albert; James; Adelbert; Ella; Dora; Robert Jr; Frank; Esther.

Your Robert Bea is interesting to me. I have John BEa b abt 1839 and Samuel b abt 1836 and another male. In their father's obit it states that there are three sons, 2 married and living elsewhere and one in old age home. I believe Samuel to be the one in the home and my line is John. There are only 2 sons listed in the 1850 census: JOhn 11 and Samuel 14. Also in 1860 only these two boys. So I'm not sure what happened to the third son.

I have a book on the BEYEA family from which some of BEA's are connected. I have not found a real connection for my Robert BEA yet to the Beyea family. I could check the book to see if they is anything on your line. Do you know who your John was married to?

Irene, I also have Beyea family ties. You mentioned a book on the Beyeas -- could it be "Genealogy of the Boulier-Bulyea-Belyea Family 1697-1967"? I found mention of this book on-line but lost my connection before I could find out more. My Beyea connection is: Samuel T. Beyea b. 1819 in Dutchess Co. NY. He married Edna Barton b. 1821 in Steuben Co. they had several children: James E. b. 1845, Wm. E. b. 1847, Jane A. b. 1850, George b. 1854, Daniel J. b. 1838. all children born in Steuben Co. NY. any help will be appreciated.

Bev, the book I have is a different one. "Beyea Genealogy" by Maurice E. Peck 1981. This book has I think the updates etc on the Beyea line. My Robert BEA has not been found in there. As for your Samuel Beyea and Edna (no last name). They had James Beyea b ca 1845 married Emma b ca 1842. As of 1870 they had 2 children: Fred b ca 1868 and Willm b 11/1869. James appeared in the 1870 census as head of a household in Barrington township, Yates, NY. William Beyea b ca 1847 married Julia b ca 1849. They had a son Samuel b 1872. This family was in the 1875 census in Barrington also. Jane Beyea b ca 1849 (no other info). George Beyea b 1854 married Frances b 1851. They had a son Omer b 1874 and lived with his father Samuel Beyea in Barrington also. Appears the whole family was there in Barrington, Yates, NY.
