Does anyone know what the source is for the story about how a Jacob Baughman's first family were all killed by Indians with the exception of his son Henry? The story says that after the tragic event he took Henry to VA to live with relatives.

I descend from the Jacob & Elizabeth Baughman that resided in Knox Co, KY. He first appears in records there in 1805. His oldest children with his second wife Elizabeth state they were born in SC and TN. I am having a hard time connecting my Jacob to the Baughmans in Shenandoah Co, VA that migrated to Lincoln Co, KY.
