Although "Tom" is not listed with the family on this census, there is a George W - who is the right age - who appears as Tom's brother on the 1920 census, and the family is in the same town as the other census records. I believe this is "Tom's" family:

I am searching for information on Tom Baugham, who would be my grandfather. He was married to Julie Elizabeth Outland. Did he have brothers and sisters? Who were his parents and so forth. Any help is much appreciated.

I do not yet have Elisha's parents, but he must be a descendent of Abraham & Appolonia Baum, the immigrants.

I have Elisha T. m. to Emma A. Barkley. Marriage Date: 6 May 1884
Children:

Annie B Baugham m. #1 William Worrell #2 James Arthur Baugham as his #2.. making her my step great grandmother. They were most likely cousins, but how distant, I do not yet know.

I have been away from the message boards for quite a while. Now this Winter, I will be moving forward in my research again. I had learned quite a bit on my own, but it is nice to have confirmation & additional info. Thank you.

I have James Arthur Baugham's parents as James Anderson Baugham & Cassandra Truelove.

Does this match your info? What I found back further is perplexing, so I want to confirm what I have before accepting the rest of what I have for James Anderson Baugham & his parents & grandparents.

I have Parthenia Emily Gray's parents as James (Jimmy) Jordan Gray & Mary E. Williams. It also appears Emily had a twin named Mattie or else they were 10 -11 months apart in age.

Does any of this fit what you have discovered?

Jim & Pattie - James Nathan Baugham & Martha Emeline Gardner

Jim was a son of John Baugham & Lavinia Futrell
Pattie was a daughter of Randolph Gardner & Susan R. Vick

Abraham Baum - Immigrant from Germany to Currituck Precinct, NC. Will written 1729 & proved 1730.

Wife: Appolonia
Children: Adam, Elizabeth, John, Mary, Maurice, Peter, Sarah.

2 of John's sons, Adam & John, migrated to Northampton County, NC. Some became Quakers in the Rich Square/Woodland area.

I am currently looking at John, born 1828, son of Jordan "Baughm" & Martha Blanchard (Quakers) as possibly being the John born abt 1823, whom married Levenia Futrell in 1849 in Northampton, who's son, James Nathan (settled in Bertie/Hertford County, NC) & was father of James Arthur whom settled in Southampton County, Va.

There was another John whom married a Louisa Moore in Northampton County 1851. I need to see if Jordan's son lived to adulthood, as several of his 13 children did not. Perhaps one of the 2 married in 1849 & 1851 is the son of Jordan & Martha.

So far I have found only a marriage record for John & Louisa, perhaps they went west. All other records belong to my John & Levenia.

I will update, when I learn more.

UPDATE: 25 July 2015

John whom married Louisa Moore, was the son of Jordan & Martha. He died a few years after his marriage & Louisa remarried.

I'm still searching for my John's parents.

P.S. I have recently located my grandmother, Sallie Bet Baugham's birth record... her given name was LUCY Elizabeth Baugham. I had thought her name may have been Sarah Elizabeth, because she was known as Sallie Bet.

Hello there, I am currently trying to find out who Elisha T. Baugham's parents were as well. I'm trying to establish a family tree for my grandmother's side of the family. Her grandfather was Elisha Baugham, her father was his son Frank Baugham. He died when she was 6 and she can only remember her grandfather's name but not beyond that. My tree showas a James Arthur Baugham, born 1877 in Bertie Co. NC & died in 1960 in Newsomes, VA. He was married to Emily Partheny Gray (1874-1950).
