My mother is from a family of Batchelders who have lived in the Sandwich, Canterbury, Dover area of East Kent for many generations, the Batchelder pedigree has been well researched and documented back to a John Batchelder who lived in Nonnington from 1753ish to 1816, he was born we believe in the village of Chillenden a few miles north east of Nonnigton.

We are unable to trace the pedigree any further back, any clues as to from whom John Batchelder of Nonnington is decended would be greatly appreticated.

He married a Sarah Rye her line is traced back to a Thomas Rye of Nonnigton b 1670ish.
