Looking for family, Batchelders from Compton Canada, Moes River, and Bury.There is also mention of Gemmell family in a letter I have dated 1949 from Arthur G. Batchelder.The Batchelders came over on the brig Morning Star the letter states from Yarmouth Norfolk England in 1836. to Quebec city and settled in Bury Ca.

I have an Osborn Batchelder. 1820 with 3 bros.and 3 sisters in my family. all came to Compton,Compton County, Canada.
I have info on the three bros. and minor info on one sister. I have not heard the Gemmell name before, but could have married a sister? I can give you more info if you think this is what you are looking for.

I have a Ruth Batchelder from Compton Canada she was born 1803. she married a Benjamin Webster in compton Canada Dec 20 1828. She died in 1833. there were at least two childern George Washington Webster February 05, 1830 and a Lucinda Webster March 25, 1831. would love to know Ruth's parents. benjamin married at least twice more after Ruth. thank you very much
