Thomas Bastin's descendants qualify for membership in the DAR according to their website. According to their listed sources, he performed "Patriotic Service" in NC. They list as "proof", Pruitt, Abstracts of Land Entries Caswell Co., NC, 1778-1795, P41, #516; and NC Land Grant, entered 22 July 1778. I have requested copies of this from various libraries without success. Is there someone on this board that would be willing to copy these 2 pages, scan and email them to me? According to WorldCat.org, the nearest locations with libraries that have the item include: Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia. I would be so grateful for your help.
