Hi Group

Just wanted to introduce myself. My names Dave and I just recently have gotten into genealogy and found the My Grandfather Barron his father Alexander came from Scotland late 1800's. Am waiting to hear back from my cousin who supposedly has more info but am hoping to work some here on the board as i trace this line of my family as it is the one I am interested in most as I love Scotland and everything about the country so looking to learn as much as possible.

So far I know his name was Alexander and I know one of his daughters my G_Grandmother was born in 1894. I am not sure if she is the oldest child or not but if she is that would put Alexanders birth at least 1874 at earliest as I think based on their children being religious most likely would not have messed around like alot of folks do now a days. Could have been born earlier but i do know he had alot of children some of which are still alive just have not talked to them since i never knew this side of the family very well just due to distance. So it is possible he was born before 1870 but won't know for sure till I hear back from my cousin but his ISP is down right now at home. Hope to hear from some of you and maybe find out I have a relative out there somewhere that i haven't met yet. Maybe one living in Scotland =o)
