Leonard, sorry I do not know your mother but I think my father, Sidney G. Fisher, may have known her. I say this because as I was going through some of his possession after my mother's death two years ago, I came across what I suspect to be a picture of (yes a picture of) a picture of Jean Harlow, on which is written, Ruth Evelyn Barnhart, Sincerely, Jean Harlow. Because my father was very much into photography, I suspect that he took a picture of this autographed picture and made a print of it for himself. If it helps to make any possible connection, my father was a pharmaceutical student at Ohio State University, during the early 1940's. Since this is only a picture of the original, I doubt that it has much value. But if you can establish that the person Jean Harlow addressed on this picture is your mother, I would be happy to share it with you.
