I have been searching for family members for a Loooong time, with also hopes to find a picture of the grandfather I never knew. My grandfather is Walter Ernest Barnes. Here is the family line that I have found so far.
(Joseph) Willard barnes married a Dorothy (Dolly) Stevens 5/7/1815 in Quebec,CA, They had a son Joseph Willard born in 1815/1817, in Quebec CA and died in 1901 in QB CA. Joseph Willard Barnes married Viola Weightman on 4/30/1886, and they had 3 children. There was Walter Ernest Barnes born 11/9/1892, Annie (anna) Laura Barnes, born 3/19/1895 and Joseph Gordon Barnes born 1/8/1897. Walter married alot of women!! Anna Laura, who may have just gone by Laura married Edward R Ordway, and had 2 sons, Harold E and Percy W. I know there is an Irene barnes that showed up in my research, she was born in 1928 in CT, but I am not sure who's child she is. She was on the 1930's Census As staying with Viola. As far as Joseph Gordon....I'm still digging stuff up about him, but I know he was born on 1/8/1897.
Now, Viola remarried a John A LaDuke after Joseph Willard had passed. My family started in Quebec Canada (Dunham) and seems to have stayed around Johnson/Lamoille VT, Ronkingham N.H, and Massachusettes. Walter actually was all over for the most part. His first marriage was to a Grace Trudeau in 1913, but on the certificate, it states her last name as Ludsan?? His second was to a Rosa Peake who he bought a burial plot with, in Jacksonville fl in 1922--but not sure of the marriage year. There may have been some more wives in between, but next that I know of is, he married Anna Geary (my grandmother whom I never met either) in Elkton MD
in 1948. The last marriage that I have found ..soooo far, is to a Gladys Kobel in 1955. My mom is the daughter of Walter Ernest Barnes and I would very much like to find some family/cousins that also may have a pic of Walter. We really wanted to put a face to the name. Any help is appreciated. Some of the elders in my family have met Walter and can describe him, but it's not the same as seeing his face.

Walter died 2/11/1980 in Hilliard/Duval County FL at St. Jude Manor Nursing Home. Arrangements were at Callahan Funeral Home, in Callahan FL and was laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Park, in Jacksonville FL. The only name I see is an informant of Dorothea Williams. I do not know who this is. His obituary mentioned that he is survived by several neices and nephews. I'd like to find my cousins please...Thanks for any help in advanced!
