I'm looking for information on Joseph Barker (10/23/1860 - 1/8/1938, http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=80...). I'm able to find him on the 1900, 1910, 1920, & 1930 census but cannot on any previous to that. According to his death certificate, his mother was Julia Ann Bryant, no father is listed. On the 1910 census it says Julia only had 1 child, which leaves me to believe the father died while Joseph was very young. Family legend has it that Joseph was adopted, but no one has any proof or knows for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
