Can anyone help with the ancestry of Joseph Barden? He married Harriet Senior in 1833 who resided at Bank Bottom, Hudderfield, Yorkshire. They had a daughter Ann in 1839 at the same address.

I've done a fair amount of research on the Bardens in Yorkshire.
What exactly do you want to know, and as your message was a long time ago, maybe you've done all the research now?

Thanks for replying - you are the first in 7 years!
I'm trying to find one line of my wife's ancestors - her grandfather James G North married Ann Barden b.1839, the daughter of James Barden & Harriet Senior. I can take the Senior line back a further 4 generations but I'm stuck on James Barden. Ann Barden was born on 24 Dec 1839 at Bankbottom in Shelley, Huddersfield, YKS, ENG.
She appeared (as North) on the census of 1871 at Back Lane, Bramley, Leeds, YKS, ENG; aged 30.

Ok, briefly, I have Daniel Barden b 1720 m Sarah Kaye b 1715, son William Barden b 1752 m Elizabeth Longley b 1758, their son Joseph barden b 1784 m Susannah Wainwright and had son joseph b 1813 m harriet Senior.
All from kirkburton/ Cumberworth.
Please don't take all this as gospel, as i could have made mistakes, but most of this is from reliable sources.
i've got more details if you want them!

From the VRI discs I see that Daniel married Sarah 20Jun1751 in Kirkburton, YKS but William was christened 29Oct1752 in Henley, YKS (so far I cannot find out where Henley is)
It also appeared that he might have had at least one brother, one sister & a daughter - does that sound right?
