I do research on Antoni Ciasnocha who was a brother to your ancestor Bernice Ciasnocha. I found his immigration record of 1907 Where he gave his address in the U S as Chicago with his Brother-in-law Walter as acontact. Do you have any info on Bernice as to who were her Parents? Antoni married Kunegunda Jasica in 1921 at Chicago IL.

My husband's adoptive family name is Barczak. I know that his grandfather Boleslaw Barczak arrived in Baltimore in 1905. His naturalization records indicate that he came from Rogienice, Lomza, Poland. Boleslaw married Mary (or Marianna) Dziamalek in Chester, PA before 1925. They settled in Wilmington, Delaware. Anyone searching this branch of Barczaks or this area of Poland?

I am robert Ruszel Jr.'s sister! I have to get out all the documents I have as I have put them away now, but I have Frank Ruszel Birth certificate and marrage certificate and some other documents as well!! "I saw your post from 2008 on the ancestry.com message board today.

My maternal grandfather is Onufry Ruszel (1893-1956), brother of Walter (Wladyslaw) Ruszel. Walter named his son Frank J (your grandfather) but there was another Frank Ruszel who was a brother of Onufry and Walter. Their father was Wojciech (Adalbert) Ruszel from Palikowka near Rzeszow in Poland.

Onufry lived in Chicago Heights with his family when he first came to America then moved to Kenosha Wisconsin probably for work in the Simmons Mattress Factory. He married Marya Tralka in Kenosha and became the parents of my mother, Elizabeth and her brothers.

I just answered a post on robertruszeljr family tree on ancestry.com today. Are you robertruszeljr's sister? Maybe we can help each other out with sharing info about the Ruszel family."

Hello, I just came across this site and was researching my last name. I am 24 years old and live in suburban detroit, MI. I want to say that I know of a Marian Barczak. My Father may have been his cousin (James Barczak, deceased). I feel that when I went to his cemetary this past summer with my uncle (my dads brother, Tom) he showed me around to plots with my family members. Included were my grandfather, Wallace Barczak, grandmother Francis Barczak (samson). I remember my uncle saying "cousin Marian", I thought it was a cool name. There was a plot for him and his wife. One was alive and one was deceased. The cemetary is in Clinton Township, MI I believe. I hope this helps you!

Here is the Barchak family I am interested in. As far as I know, this is the only Barchak (Barczak) family that came from Germany to Wentworth. Maybe we have a connection? Annie was my adopted great aunt. Annie was adopted by my gg grandparents. Hope to here back from you.

ich habe heute im Rahmen meiner Familienforschung leider diese Anzeige gefunden. Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Detlef Barczak, weiß aber leider nur, dass sein Vater Bruno Barczak hieß und die Mutter Leni.
Brunos Vater hieß Thomas Barczak, die Mutter Franziska Pawlak. Außer Bruno hatten sie noch die Geschwister Hedwig, Alexandra, Josef Klara und Mariechen. Die Hedwig hat einen Ferdinand Schmidt geheiratet und dessen Tochter Gisela ist meine Schwiegermutter.
Hängen unsere Familien tatsächlich zusammen? Können Sie mir mehr erzählen? Ich freue mich auf eine Antwort!

Barczaks and Barchaks

Two brothers of Barczak family in Wisconsin went to southern Missouri and for unknown reasons changed the name to Barchak. I would appreciate more info. on original Barczaks. Barchaks were Catholic, but I have come upon very recent information that the family could be of Jewish origin. Does anybody have info. on this? Email me or post to this site. THANKS

I don't know if you are still serching. Robert Barczak was my fathers youngest brother. My father was Edward P. Barczak from Baltimore. Robert passed away in the fall of 2002 and his wife is living in Baltimore with his brother Frank Barczak as last I know. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any other help.

I work for Age Concern Coventry (UK) and have just begun visiting a gentleman who was born in Poland in 1925. He has one older brother, Marian Barczak, but cannot remember his birth date.
My gentleman was taken from Poland at the age of 13 and subsequently lost contact with his family. He is now eager to trace them.
We do not know if his brother is still alive, or if he married or had children.

this may be a long shot, i saw a mrs. virgie barszak mentioned in her brothers obit. look under barszak and go to the periodicals and newspapers heading.i think she lives in mo.im looking for info on felix and mary barczak born 1851 poland,i was trying ways the name could have beeb mispelled, came across virgie and rememered your posting. goodluck. oh she had other siblings listed.

Well, we must be related. My grandfather came from Poznan and changed his name from Barczak to Barchak. He ended up in Southwest Missouri where a Polish community existed.
