You are correct. All I have is a insurance policy application that my mother completed many years ago that gives her fathers' name as Melvin Lee Barbee and that he was born in Concord, N.C. Her mother was Margarette M. Rush Barbee. Margarette's mothers name was Lizzie Newman Rush. I do not have a date of birth marriage, divorce or death for Melvin Lee Barbee. My grandmother may have been married to someelse before she married Melvin. That is purely speculation on my part. Everyone is decease now so I have no one to ask.
