My great-grandmother is Mary A McBride (b. abt 1879 in NY), daughter of George McBride (Ireland) and Harriet Baldwin (Norfolk, VA).

1900 US census for Brooklyn, Kings, NY lists Harriet "Hattie" McBride as a boarder, aged 55, in the household of C Miller. In the 1910 US census she is living at age 64 (widowed) with daughter Mary and Samuel Meyer. Samuel Meyer died in 1913 and Mary married Charles McManus, probably in 1917.
