I am looking for information on General Bailey of Vermont, who was appointment by George Washington to handle supplies in the NE colonies during the revolution and had been Colonel in the French Indian Wars. He married a woman with the last name of Stephens, I am told and they had a boy who eventually had Abigail Bailey that married James Flanders and Had Elizabeth Flanders who married Samuel Orr in Michigan.
My great uncle Cecil's autobiography mentions Abigail and her parents and siblings going to see her grandfather in Vermont as they were headed out west to Michigan in the 1840s or so. Abigail was born in New Hampshire and her grandfather Bailey told a ton of War stories about each war and said he was a General. Uncle Cecil's grandmother (Flanders)Orr used to repeat those stories to him as a child.
