Yes, I have the Daniel Badger in Charleston, SC as the son of Stephen Badger and Mercy Kettell. "The brother of Boston portrait painter Joseph Badger (1708-1765), Daniel Badger moved from Boston to Charleston, South Carolina in 1735 when he was 21 years old. His advertising announcement in Charleston was that he "undertakes and completes all sorts of House and Ship paintings very reasonable and after the best manner."

He married Christian Eagle in Charleston, SC in 1736 at the Circular Congregational Church. He bought land at 39 Tradd Street.. Later Jonathan Badger, cabinet maker owned it. Jonathan moved to Providence, Rhode Island in 1770. I thought Jonathan was Daniel's son but the GIles Badger Supplement says the Jonathan Badger of Rhode Island is Stephen Badger Jr.'s son. If so, it wouldn't be the only Badger family member to move to Charleston from Boston.
Joseph and William Badger, the sons of the Boston painter, Joseph Badger arrived in Charleston, SC in 1766 after their father died. Joseph also brought his wife Rhoda (Cox) and children, Joseph, James and Rhoda with him.
From the Charleston paper: 12/22/1766: "JOSEPH & WILLIAM BADGER, BEGS leave to acquaint the public that they are just arrived from Boston, in New England, and propose to carry on their business of painting and glazing in all their branches. Should the gentlemen and ladies of this town be so kind as to favour them with their custom, they may depend on being served with the utmost fidelity and dispatch. For further particulars inquire of JONATHAN BADGER"
South Carolina Gazette, Charleston, 22 Dec. 1766, 4-2.
Joseph stayed in Charleston but William didn't. Their brother Samuel Badger also spent some time in Charleston and there are letters between he and his mother Catherine at the Historical Society there.
I have a lot of information on the Badgers of Charleston, SC and Petersburg, VA. I believe I am a descendent this Joseph Badger (1731-1800).
