Surnames: Badger
Jonathan Badger was listed was listed among members and supporters of the Independent Congregational (Circular) Church, Charleston, S. C. on 1/27/1750. There were other Badger family who also went to that church. It is possible that William was buried there since he died in Charleston,SC although his father moved to Rhode Island around 1770. His son William was 21 years old when he died. I would also like to receive a copy of the obituary, please.

Have you seen the book Painters and Paintings in the Early America South by Carolyn J. Weekly? On page 406-407 it lists the Badger Family Tree showing the artists in bold. I'm not sure I agree with all her placements of people but it definitely gives a good overview of the family and lots of information on the painters. It also confirms my linking of the Badgers of Petersburg, VA and the Badgers of Charleston, SC.
