I don't know of your Martha, but I have a Badger and Maxwell connection in my family. Rosa Gertrude Badger married Anderson Mitchell Maxwell in Ashe County, NC on 3/13/1858. Rosa's parents were Edwin Hollingsworth Badger and Anne McCullock of Petersburg, VA. His parents were Larkin Maxwell and Elizabeth Eller. They had the following children that I know of: Laura, Thomas Shephard, and Mollie. Thomas was born in 1863. He married Cora McMillan. William Badger is a common name in my family, (although considering how commom the name William is, that isn't saying much.)
