In doing research on the Charleston, SC Badger's I ran across the following that I have no further information on and no way to know where it might link up. In hopes this can help someone else:
In the Register of St. Phillip's Parish 1754-1810, Charles Town, South Carolina, edited by D. E. Huger Smith & A. S. Sally Jr., Univ. of SC Press, p 57, under the christening section:
"Badger, Hannah Susannah {On the 14th August 1761 Hannah Susanna of Jac. & Mary Magdlin Badger was Baptized by the Revd. Robt. Smith Rectr.}"
I believe Jac stands for Jacob and it is probably Mary Magdaline. If the editors translation of the writing of Jac. should really be Jno, then I know of a Jonathan and Mary Badger who had a daughter Hannah of this approximate age who lived in Charleston, SC. Does anyone have a Jacob and Mary Badger with a daughter Hannah or Susanna born in 1761?
