I am trying to trace the father of Richard Backwell (Backwill) born in Feb. 1799 in Dartmouth, England. His mother was Mary Consent and we know she married a Richard Backwell in Plymouth a year after "our" Richard was born.

Has anyone come across a Consent anywhere or know of a Backwell senior who would fit the bill?
