I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me out with a look up for the birth of my Grandmother in the Parish Records.

My Grandmother was MARIE "ELISE" BABIN born on March 16 1872 in Caplan Quebec. The Parish would have been St. Charles de Caplan in Quebec. Elise was the daughter of
Alexandre Babin & Josephine Cyr.

Hello,

I am looking for any information on my Great Grandparents, they had a daughter(My Grandmother) and her name was Marie Elise Babin. Elise married Joseph Norbert Leclerc on January 27 1891 St-Charles de Caplan (Qc). They had 11 children, but sadly Joseph and Elise passed away from the Spanish flu in I believe 1918. The children became scattered as a result of both parents passing away. I would love to know the BMD for Alexandre Babin and Josee Cyr or anything about their family. I would be extremely greatful for any information and look forward to hearing back.

Benoni was from St. Louis De Kent..born around 1840 and died April 3 1903 in St.Louis De Kent New Brunswick Canada.

Marie Adele Thibodeau Poirier/Perry...(the name was anglasized when Adele and Cal moved to St.John NB in the 1920's or 1930's) died on December 14, 1964 at the home of her eldest daughter Marie Domine LeBlanc in Toronto Ontario..Marie Adele is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Toronto Ontario Canada.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of six soldiers supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died January 6 in Baghdad, Iraq when an improvised explosive device struck their Bradley fighting vehicle. All six were assigned to the Army National Guard's 256th Infantry Brigade (Mechanized), Lafayette, La. A seventh soldier was also killed in the incident but the information will be released separately based upon next of kin notification policies.

Adele Babin born about 1897, married Wiltz Joseph LeBoeuf who was born 3/11/1892 and died 8/1949. At the time for his dead he was married to Adele Babin and they had a child Jeanette. First marriage was to Ivon Grey Frazer in 1917. They later divorced after having two children, Yvonne LeBoeuf born 1917, Dolores LeBoeuf born 1920. His parents were Theophile LeBoeuf and Effie Blouin. Wiltz was born in Convent, LA, and died in New Orleans. He llived in NO for 45 years. He was a saleman in the electrical business. He and his parents are all buried in Greenwood Cemetary in New Orleans. At one time he was in Mobile, AL.

Interested in any info on Adele Babin children, marriage and
possibly when he divorced my Grandmother Frazer and info

There is an increasingly amount of false data floating around concerning the Houma Babin's. I am a direct decedent of the Houma/Terrebonne Babin's and have become sort of an specialist (based on documentation & theory) on how they came to Louisiana and on to Houma and also how they are traced back to the original Antoine of 1626. Auguste Alexandre Babin born in 1818 was the first and only Babin on the Houma/Terrebonne census of 1830. He is my 3rd Great-Grandfather. I hope to be adding an extensive tree to the Ancestry website and possibly creating my own website with history information, theories, photos and more. Please contact me with any questions you may have about your Houma/Terrebonne Babin ancestors. I also know a little about the Lafourche Babin's which are NOT directly related to the Houma/Terrebonne Babin's (ties go all the way back to Antoine of 1626's 11 children).

Please, if any of these names are members or distant members of your family, from East Louisiana and buried in St. Theresa's Cemetery in Gonzales, Ascension Parish, LA. They are listed in Paternal order starting with Drozia - Grandson Lucien who went by John Babin. I am really hitting alot of brick walls with these branches of my tree. I know that from there I descend from Charles then to Pierre then from peirre to his son Joseph from there I am a little lost as to finding the decendance from then on. I am searching for the birthdate for my Grandfather, Joseph Norbert Leclerc, born in Maria, Quebec. He was the son of Joseph Leclerc and Marie Phebee Normand. My Grandmother Marie Elise Babin was born on March 16 1872 and her parents were Alexandre Babin and Josephine Cyr. My Grandparents Joseph and Elise were married on Jan. 27 1891 in Caplan, Quebec, but both passed away suddenly from the Spanish influenza in 1918, leaving behind many children. Hello,
I have been searching for any information on my Grandmother Elise Marie Babin. She married Joseph Norbert Leclerc(blacksmith) and they had 11 children. I have names and birth dates for 10 of the children, only one is missing Marie-Corrine Leclerc. My Grandparents both died of the flu influenza in I believe 1918, and one of their children was my father. My father was only 11 when both parents died, and was sent to live in an orphanage. I virtually know nothing about where my Grandparents were born, married, or died. Growing up not knowing them, has been like a jigsaw puzzle with pieces missing, and you need the pieces to complete the picture. I hope someone can help me in possibly finding out more about them, and I look forward to hearing back.Thank you!!!

LACONIA - George Burbank Babin, 89, of Court Street died Monday at Lakes Region General Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Winthrop, Maine, the son of Pierre and Anne (DeBlois) Burbank Babin. He lived in Rochester for most of his life and moved to Laconia four years ago. Babin served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked in many positions for Maybury Shoe Co. for 35 years and later worked as groundskeeper at Spaulding High School, retiring in 1990. Survivors include his wife, Palma (Lambert) Babin of Laconia; a son, Roger Babin of Campton; two sisters, Cecile Vogelman and Rita Lord, both of Somersworth; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A daughter, Doris Bolduc, died in 1997; and a brother and three sisters died previously. Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the carriage house of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 500 Morrill St., Gilford. The Rev. Hector Bolduc will officiate. Burial will be held in the spring in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Home Activities Fund, 406 Court St., Laconia 03246.

My family name in Nova Scotia was Babin. But for some reason it was changed to Burbine when the family came to the U.S. in 1939. In most cases, anyone with the last name of Burbine is usually a Babin and their family were involved in the fishing trade. All of the men in my family (up to me) were fishing in Nova Scotia, Boston, Cape Cod and many other fishing ports mostly on the East Coast.

around Marrero, La. Changed name to Frank
Louis Babin at age 19 or so, died Oct. 31,
1980. (My father was an only child so there
are no immediate relatives to ask.) He was
married to Anna Mae Camhout, they had three
children, 2 of which are still alive, Frank
James Babin II and Barbara Jean Babin.
Parents were Louis Babin of New Orleans, La.
a detective for New Orleans Police Dept.
until his death in August, 1938, and his
mother was the former Velma Street, said to
be of Cherokee Indian descent, the Indian
name being Streetfoot. Mr. Louis Babin
(my grandfather) had a sister, Tillie Babin
(Mrs. Andrew) Woods, and a brother, Albert
