I have two people in my father's family tree, Frank Babcock, born in New York (probably in or near Mamakating) in 1853, and Franklin Pierce Babcock, born in Deer Park, NY in 1854. At least one of the Babcock descendants, Ralph, (probably a grand-nephew of one of above) moved to Newark, NJ in the early 20th century.
