I am a descendant of Reynolds Babcock, b.ABT 1770 in RI and Mary Potter, b.ABT 1772 in RI. I have not been able to find the parents of Reynolds Babcock. I believe he had a sister named Sarah and I suspect he may be a son of Jason Babcock, b 9 Jul 1756 RI, and Mary UNK. Jason's son, Benjamin,b 8 Feb 1782, who is too young to be Reynolds Babcock's father, first married Polly Reynolds and later, Hannah Reynolds. All of the above are from Westerly, Kings Co., RI. Does anyone know of any records of Reynolds Babcock's parents? I know he and Mary lived in Vermont and had the following children: Amanda Babcock, Marium Babcock, William Babcock, Anna Lydia Babcock, and then moved to New York where he had my GGGGrandfather, Clarke Babcock, b. ABT 1806. I know he spent his old age in Albany Twp, Bradford Cty, PA and probably died there, but I have no record of that either. Any help would be appreciated.
