Hi Cousin!

well, let's make that third cousin!

By my reckoning, your great grandfather would be John Stanley Baade
11th child of Jacob Bernhard Baade and Sarah Gibbs.
My great grandfather was Jacob's third child Albert.

Was your ggmother's name Matilda?

Alan

Hi Guys!

Well, I'm another very distant cousin. My grandmother was a Baade and I made my connection to your line of Baade's through the assistance of Maureen Baade Smith (in Australia).

I invite you guys to check out the group I am in the process of setting up (http://groups.msn.com/Schleswig-HolsteinGenealogy/_whatsnew....).

Yes, Baade may be a German name, but there's quite a history of them in Norway, including some records of emigrants from Norway to America, to be found in a book on the Magnus family [Slægten Magnus] which I happen to have.....
