My mother's name was Ada and her father William George August Baacke who was a reader with the Times in London. born 1882. His brother was Frederick W G Baacke born 1878. His father (I believe) is John Julius W Baacke married I know in 1876, and his father (Ibelieve) was William Baacke born in Willenberg and worked as a servant In Chelsea London. Hope you find this useful. Please get in touch if you would like anything else I have got.

I have lots of stuff here at my house referring to our family.
If you do not know who I am, my mother's name was Ada Alberta Baacke, daughter of William George August Baacke, who I believe was Frederick's brother.

Hello.
I visited Conduit Street in London last year to find the house that he was a porter in.
Unfortunately that end of the street had suffered bomb damage in the war and the houses there were obviously not as old as the other parts of the street.
Vivian Westwood now has her shop just along from there in Conduit St, which is just near Saville Row.
I did take pictures of the houses that would of been similar.

Hi Tony --- so you would mean June.

I know your brother Bill's son is doing lots of research, and we really should all meet up and collate.

I have some good bits here with records of grave numbers, and memorial cards, photos and birthday/Christmas cards. I also have a letter sent home from the trenches in WW1.
