Minnie Y. Azaroff, 80, died April 19, 1997, Marion Manor Nursing Home, Marion, Ohio.

Born October 18, 1916 in New Lexington, Ohio (Perry County) to Louis Yenkin and Rose Levine. Widow of Joseph Azaroff who died September 28, 1979.

They were married October 25, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio.

They owned and operated Sanders Auto Parts in Marion, OH.

Formerly of Denver, Colo. She resided in Marion for the past 62 years.

Member of Temple Israel, Temple Israel Sisterhood, past President of Glenwood PTA, Chairman of the Rumage Sale at the Temple.
She started the Temple News Year's Journal.
Received First Certificate of recognition Temple Israel Sisterhood, Board of Directors Temple of Israel.

Survived by sons, Larry and Gary Azaroff, both of Marion, Ohio; daughters, Mrs. Eileen Shapiro of Medford, Mass., Mrs. Sandy Hypes of Marion and Mrs. Sharon Holzer of Centerville, OH; twin brother, Aaron Yenkin; brother, Abe Yenkin ; sisters, Libby Sincher, Zelda Tepper, all of Denver, and Sara Enkin of Windsor Ontario, Canada; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; 2 deceased sisters, Bessie Katzman and Blanche Leonarde.
Funeral service Sunday 2 p.m., Temple Israel, Rabbi Elissa Kohen officiating.
Burial Grand Prarie Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Temple Israel Memorial Fund or Hospice Quality of Life, c/o Marion General Hospital.
Shiva service 7 p.m. Sunday at the Azaroff family home.








Eileen (Azaroff) Shapiro

MEDFORD, MA: Eileen (Azaroff) Shapiro of Medford, MA. died May 26, 2014.

A retired Medford Public Schools reading teacher specialist, Mrs. Shapiro was born and raised in Marion, Ohio.
A graduate of the 1955 Class of Marion Harding High School, earned a B.A. at Ohio State University and her Master's degree from Northeastern University in Boston.

She served as Treasurer for the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority at Ohio State and was a life member of the Ohio State University Alumni Association.

She had been a resident of Medford for over 60 years and was a Life member of Temple Shalom, Hadassah and Massachusetts Teachers Association.

Mrs. Shapiro was the wife of Harvey Shapiro; mother of Loren & Allison Shapiro, Richard & Deborah Shapiro and Michael & Marlene Shapiro.

She was a cherished grandmother to Ethan, Talia, Jason, Jillian, Lindsey, Daniel and Aaron. She was the sister of Sharon & Stuart Holzer, Sandra Azaroff, Gary & Janet Azaroff and the late Larry Azaroff & his surviving wife Terry.

Services were held the Goldman Funeral Chapel 174 Ferry St. Malden, MA on Friday May 30 at 12 Noon.
