I saw your post and think we might have common ancestry. My great-great grandparents were Daniel and Zafira Azar. They were also born in Turkey. Their daughter Victoria Azar married Abraham Albagli and they moved to Egypt where my grandmother Cadena (Ketty) was born. They later moved to France and Victoria Albagli (Azar) died in France in the early 1940s. Ketty married and she and her husband moved to California. Ketty is still alive today and will be 100 next year. There are many descendants in California. The exciting news is that I have some pictures of the Azar family including photos of Daniel, Zafira and Victoria. Are you interested in exchanging information?

Hello "BRAURI74"
Apologies for interjecting into this thread, but I could not email you with an inquiry. You have links to Sbaschnig (Sbaschnik)...and Poje if you know anything about them, too. Peter and Mathias. Brooklyn, NY. Peter is/was my grandfather, he married Mary Poje.
Mathias is/was my great-uncle. Searching for leads, documents, photos, etc, on the family. If you would be willing to share with me what you have, I would very thankful, and most happy to share what I have with you.
Thanks!
Kathleen

My grandmother (Laya Marron) married Solomon Antoine Azar in Bkessine or Jezzin Lebanon in 1900. The El Helou family is related- I went to Lebanon last year and met my Azar family- if I can help, please contact me.
