My name is Lawrence E Ayer and I am a descendent of James Ayer who was born in 1824 and resided in Somersworth, NH in 1850. I think he came from Albany, NH. I would be interested to find out if anyone has information on the Ayer or Ayers families from Albany prior to 1840. I see a S. Ayers and a C. Ayer on an old 1828 map of Albany.
