Re: Ayala Family from Culebra, Puerto Rico
I am from St.Croix Virgin Islands, but y great-grandmother Justa Serrano was related to the Ayala family. They once owned a hotel right off the wharf when you landed on the island. I visited in the early '80. Nicomedes and Alfonso Ayala were still alive at the time and they worked at the hotel.

Re: Ayala Family from Culebra, Puerto Rico
I'm a Serrano, and my dad is from Culebra. We are family to the Ayala's as well. Many moved from Culebra to St Thomas, St Croix, and the mainland. We go as far back as Felipa Serrano, and Julian Ayala. You may contact me if you want. I now live in Fl, but I am positive that we are all talking about the same people. Let's put our information together.

Re: Ayala Family from Culebra, Puerto Rico
Hello, I saw your post on this thread and it blew me away as I am an Ayala. I live in New York and I started doing research about my family tree in High School. Julian Ayala y Ayala was my 2nd great granfather. It seems like some of the family kept Ayala and the others took Serrano. What was your dad's name? and who were his parents/grandparent?
Soooo excited :) Nice to mee you. I found some family on here and Facebook.
