I dont know much of my Axelrad side and am trying to find some info. My grandfather was Benjamin Axelrad who married (2nd time) Frances, I believe he was from NJ around Newark and then moved to NYC (Bronx I think). I believe he had a brother William and had a sister Bea. Any help appreciated. Axelrad is not a common name here.

I don't recognize any of the names you mentioned. However, I know there are a lot of Axelrad relatives I don't know about. My family came to the US thru NY, with two brothers staying in NY.

Hi, saw your post. Benjamin was my grandfather. I have been researching my family tree for the last 12 years and must say I have been looking for your "branch" what seems like forever. All of our information matches. I am extremely excited to find that you have been looking for us too. I must admit that I did not have much to go on. All I knew was that my grandfather was married before my grandmother and had a son. I have been trying to search records for names but kept coming up empty. By the way, I dont know if you are aware but you too are also missing a brother in your listing. Well write back and lets talk..oh, just curious where are you from? I live in Jersey. Contact me via email and maybe we can switch numbers. I would love to finally put your branch on my tree. You have lots of relatives on this end. I am sure you read the emails from my Aunt (I guess yours too) Charlotte who is so excited. Well, I hope to talk to you soon. Your new found cousin Beth mbsparo@earthlink.net or I'M me as mbsparo

I know we have touched base before regarding our family trees but this post really caught my eye. You have a listing of 11 Axelrad. I find it strange that the two female Axelrads you listed Rose and Charlotte are there. My mothers name is Rose with her sister Charlotte. It seems there has to be a connection somewhere. I am looking for a lost brother of theirs. We believe the name is Marvin Axelrad born to Benjamin with Marvins mothers name Helen (not 100% sure of her name) I believe they were in NJ. Evenutally my Grandfather Benjamin moved to NY. Any connection? Desperate over here to find something! Take care Beth

I don't know of Marvin, Benjamin or Helen Axelrad. I also don't know of a NJ connection in my family. However, one of Moses Axelrad's sons (Adolph) lived in NY.

I will certainly let you know if I find any connection.

I just found your post, realize it was old. I don't know if you already found the information you were looking for, But Adolph Axelrad was my grandfather. His siblings were the ones listed on this board. He moved to New York to attend Columbia Law School, and stayed here after meeting his wife, Dorothy, who just died last week at the age of 101. Adolph predeceased her in 1997, at the age of 99.
