Have you received information about your family? I have done some checking and it turns out you are related to a member of our DNA group on Ancestry. [members name in the DNA group is Dave Axe who lives in Lancaster County. We call him East Coast Dave] Dave and I are the co-administrators of the Axe DNA Group. I have done some research on your family through the census reports and it goes as follows. Your grandfather is Lloyd Russell Axe b. 1926. His father was Russell B. Axe b. 1904 married to Mildred R. b. 1908, they had six children. Russell's father was Henry Brinton Axe b. 1862 and married Clara E. b. 1867, they had eight children. Henry Brinton's father was William Axe b. 1823 and married Elizabeth Speece b. 1826. They had 10 children. William's father was Peter Axe b. abt.1801 and died 1830-1831. This is where we are stuck. We have not found out who Peter Axe's father was. We know through other members of the DNA Group that this family line is connected to the Germantown Axe's but not how they are connected. Your connection to Dave is through William and Elizabeth's sons, Henry Brinton Axe b. 1862 and George F. Axe b. 1859.
I hope I have helped and maybe you can help us.
