Looking for descendents of Dennis Avrett and his wife Mary who were in the 1910 Hopkins Co., TX Census. Dennis was b. abt 1854 in AL and was a son of Matthew Averett, Jr., and Sarah Louise McClendon. Dennis moved to TX from LA. His parents, Matthew Averett, Jr. and Sarah Louise McClendon moved to LA from AL.

In the 1910 Census, Dennis had a son Robert, 35, b.LA; a daughter Myrtle 20, b. TX and a daughter Olive 17 b. TX. Any information will be appreciated.

My brother Gary Avrett that lives in Euless, Tx sent this to me. I live ion Houston ,Tx but grew up in Arlington,Tx.
My Father Alan Avrett said that Bill was his Uncle and Frank was my fathers cousin. My Father dad passed away at the age of 52 with cancer when he was 10 years old. Dad said that he thinks Franks' father was named Ed Avrett. Let me know if you find others. We have family in the Dallas area also.

I am not sure what counties or cities my family all lived in but I know that my great grandfather and great grandmother ( Ed and Dora Avrett), My grand father ( Roy Joesph Avrett ) , My father ( Roy Lee Avrett ) , a few great uncles and my great aunt and uncle ( Ruby Lee Williams and Jas Henery Williams ) are all buried in Oak Grove Cemetary in Irving Texas. I have also found out that my great aunt Ruby Lee and her brother both came to Oklahoma to marry thier Spouses. They married about one year apart. Thank you for your help I will chack with my mother on those names and see what I can find out. Thank you again for all your help. Lora Avrett

Lora, do you know what county or city your Avrett relatives were living? I know of an Irma, Vera, and Vida Avrett that used to own the house that I now live in. Do any of those names sound familiar to you or your mother?

I am on a search for any Avrett's in the Texas area. As far as I know that is where we are from. My fathers name was Roy Lee Avrett, my grandfathers name was Roy Joseph Avrett, my greatuncle was Frank Avrett, my greataunt was Ruby Lee Avrett-Williams, and my grandfathers uncle was Bill Avrett. If anyone has any info please let me know.
