Robert Martin AUTREY, b. 1840 in Perry County, Ala., m. Elizabeth Jane KEMP, b. 1846 in Claiborne Parish, La., in 1865 in Dubach, Lincoln Parish, La. They had the following children:

l. William Absalom Autrey - b. 1866 in Dubach, Lincoln Parish, La. He married Mae Hill ALEXANDER in Maud, Bowie County, Tx. They had 6 children, all born in Bowie County. He died 1927 in Post, Tx., and she died in 1974 in Gladwater, Texas.

I am looking for anyone connected to this family or may know of them.

2. Elbert Eugene Autrey (my husband's grandfather) - b. 1868 in Dubach, La., married Alma Endsley, b. 1884 in Bloomburg, Cass Co. Tx., in 1900 in Bowie County. They had eleven children, 3 still living in Bowie. Children are: Charles Ellis Autrey, b. 1901; Minnie Elizabeth Autrey, b. 1904; Georgia Ellen Autrey, b. 1906 in Cass Co.; Morris Eugene Autrey, b. 1908 in Cass Co.; Rosa Lea Autrey, b. 1910; Robert Elwin Autrey, b. 1913 in Bowie Co.; Willie E. Autrey, (Joe's father), b.1915 in Bowie; Christine Elanor Autrey, still living in Bowie; Bertha Edda Autrey, still living in Bowie; and David Elbert Autrey, still living in Bowie.

3. Edward Monroe Autrey, b. 1871 in Waco, Tx., m. Frances E. Gregory in 1898 in Alleene, Ark. She was b. 1879 in Alleene, and died 1967 in California. They had three children: Walter Calvin Autrey, Addie A. Autrey, William Edward Autrey.

4. Cisero Theodore "Pink" Autrey, b. 1873 in Linoln Paish, La. he married first Margaret C. Mustain in 1892, they had one child, Fannie Holland Autrey.

Pink Autrey then married Martha Copeland, they had one child: Marvin Dewey Autrey, no other information. If anyone has information on this family, please contact me.

Pink's third marriage: Minnie Elizabeth ENDSLEY, the sister to his brother, Elbert Eugene Autrey's wife, Alma Endsley. Minnie and Pink had five children: Horace Eugene Autrey, m. Janie Crump, and Janie is still living in Bowie County; Noami Arline Autrey, Alma irene Autrey, Harvey Joy Autrey (still living in Bowie Co.); Marvin Roy Autrey.

5. Columbia Anne Autrey, b. 1875 in Dubach, La., m. Eugene Wilxom Scarborough, they had 8 children: Eugene Franklin, Rosa Lee, Lelia Mae, Tibatha Jane, Charles Boyd, Robert Dillard, and Harry Hammond Scarborough.

Robert Martin Autrey then married Sara Jane "Symathia" SCARBOROUGH. They had four chidren born in Maud, Bowie County: Elonsio Cleveland, Thomas Dillard, Robert Martin Jr., and Arlena Autrey.

Robert Martin Autrey died 1919 , is buried in Rock Creek Cemetery, Bowie Co., Tx..

Elizabeth Jane KEMP died.1879 and is buried in Antiock, Tx.

Sara Jane SCARBOROUGH, died in 1947 and is buried in Rock Creek Cemetery, Bowie Co.
