I read your message and noticed you spell your Aucoin as Aucoin. As I have researched our name I noticed there was several spellings.
My Aucoins came over on the "Arc Angel" 1785.
from France.
They were Gregoire Alex Aucoin son of Michel Aucoin and Margaritte Aucoin daughter of Simon Aucoin.
They were in Canada, went back home and then on to Louisiana, settling in Plattenville, La.
