May I step in here?
Stephen White has updates and corrections to his books posted at http://www.umoncton.ca/etudeacadiennes/centre/cor-dict.html
From studying dispensations issued for marriages of various Aucoin descendants, he is now showing Martin Aucoin b. 26 Apr 1595 and Barbe Minguet as the parents of Michelle (m. Michel Boudreau) and Jeanne (m. François Girouard). Martin's second wife was Marie Sallé, and her second husband was Jean Claude.
He says Martin Aucoin b. abt. 1651 (m. Marie Gaudet) is probably related in some way, but is not a son of the older Martin.
Hope that helps clarify.
