Interesed to here from the Atkin family.
My Father is an Atkin and so is my Mother! so I have two trees of Atkin.(not sure if they are related)
One side is Rimmington Akin (my gggrandfather) who in the 1851 census was in Kirton in Holland Lincolnshire aged 10,
his brothers ad sisters where Anne, Betsy, Eliza, Fredrick, John,he came to Hull a few years later and had Herbert Atkin, who he had six boys. Ernest George, Arthur, Walter, Herbert,Charles, would like to here from anyone who has any connection with the above.

Hello I have Atkin in my family. The ones I know were born in and around the Darlington Co Durham area. I believe though that a couple of brothers and a sister were living somewhere around the York Hull area. One was called William. I 5think one died in the 40's and William dies around early 60's. My family are not actually from your area but from Leeds, more specifically Arnley, so may have links. My dad was Alfred Atkin (born 1920, second son of George and Carrie Atkin. Oldest son was George, youngest son Jack. I am looking to find Jacks family who I met only once. My mum is also now dead and like all of us I asked too few questions! My uncle Jack was a bus driver and his son was called Paul. I dont remember the name of his daughter. I know he died a few years ago. I think his wifes name was Jean, but my family hardly ever saw or were in contact with Jacks. I would just like to contact them if I can, as I have always been in contact with the oldest brother George's daughter Sheila, and via her had news of her brother. I didnt have any other relations on my fathers side so would love to hear from any contacts.
