Looking for grandfather, Alsie Ashley born 1881, VA? Married Beulah Rodgers in Atlanta abt 1918. Their son was Joel Thomas Ashley, born 4/7/19, died 4/7/00. Alsie is a Scots-Irish name, as is Beulah's family: Bond & Rodgers of Twiggs County, GA. Could he be a cousin? Was his family in MS? FL? Beulah was born in MS, when family lived there for a time. But they moved to Macon, GA, before she was grown. As he disappeared right after the wedding and is listed as "traveling salesman," I suspect a shotgun wedding. Alsie could have been his middle name, since I cannot find him on any census or SS death record, etc. Any assistance would be appreciated.
