Are these letters from a couple, William and Adelaide Armstrong? My gr.gr.gr.uncle was William Armstrong who left Natchez, MS in the very early 1800's to join the Navy with his brother, James Armstrong. William made his career in the Navy as did James. William married Adeline Tyler of VA. Do not know if they ever had children. I inherited a portrait of James from his sister who was my gr.gr.gr.grandmother. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
