In my research I have recently found information regarding my Apps/Happs family from Mosley Surrey England
I have John Apps born about 1860 married to Ann? they had
7 children;
1- Frances Apps born 1779 West Molesey married a Richard Kettle in 1801
2- Elizabeth Apps b march 16, 1783 West Molesey had a son James Apps 1802 James changed his last name to Happs and moved to Isleworth area and raised his family ( he was my grgrgrgrandfather) His mother married James Blake 1807 West Molesey and they had several children.
3- John Apps born 1786 West Molesey
4- Mary Apps b 1788 East Molesey
5- Thomas Apps b 1790 East Molesey
6- Maria Apps b 1792
Henry Apps b May 13, 1794 Thames Ditton. Henry Married Mary ? and they had 8 children.
I was wondering if anyone else has these names in their research. Any help would be appreciated.

I have recently connected my family to James Happs b1802 Surrey and any assistance with information on his ancestors/siblings would be much appreciated. James Happs was my G-G-G-Grandfather and my family line connects through his daughter Maria b1843 Isleworth.

Sandra could you please tell me how you came up with Elizabeth Bolridge (Colridge) being a Diggines as I am a diggines and this is a new one to me and may help me with my family tree thanks sue

I have Joseph Coldridge married to Elizabeth Diggines in 1856 in Exeter reg December quarter. Some of their children started using Coleridge instead of Coldridge, particularly from 1901.

This is Elizabeth Diggines born circa 1829 in Doddiscombsleigh, Devon, who was the daughter of William Diggines and Elizabeth Archer. She died in 1888 I believe.

I am a decendent of James Happs born 1802, he is my 3 time gr grandfather. James son George(my grgrg grandfather) born March 20,1837 is a brother to your Maria.
Georges daugther Elizabeth was my grandfathers mother.
I have alot of info on this line. Where do you live in the US or England? I live in the US IN New York state.
From the info I have reasearched through the years James was the only child to Elizabeth Apps name was changed with James, till she married A James Blake and had several children.
James was married to Mary Ann Clark Dec 25, 1821 in Teddington.

message board and i would like to let you know that I am
from an Apps family that lived in eastmolesey surrey.
my g grandad who was named Charles Apps was born about
1823 and had about nine children of which one my grand mother was MaryAnn Apps.She would have been born about
1861 and died 1931. My g grandmothers name was
Rebecca Lawrence born 1830 and died 1900. I have read
what you have posted and note that all of your ancesters
were born much before mine,so there could be some relationship. Can you help to check that if you have
the dates following on from yours

Just came across your messages re Apps family. I know nothing about the Apps family but what I do know is that it is MOLESEY. And also there is still a place called Apps Farm with quite a large amount of land.

Thanks for the correct spelling. Is there some way of checking who the former owners were?
