I too am searching the name anwiler. Problem is it is spelled numerous ways i.e. onwiler, unwiler. anweiler, anweller, unweller, onweller, numwiler, nunweiler, nomwiler, ets. You really have your work cut out for you. My gggrandmother,Martha I. born in 1821, had a child in 1843/44 in ohio-where? do not know.. She went to live with a George % Phoebe Black in Knox county, oh as indicated in 1850 census. Her name was Unwiler at the time. She had a son James Henry Unwiler, born 1843/44 who lived with them. Not been able to determine if Unwiler was her married name or maiden name or that the spelling was correct. Been doing research on this for over ten years and nothing but brick walls. There was a large family on Onweller's in Fulton, Coounty, Ohio back in the 1800's but not related to my Martha I.?. If you punch google for Anwiler, some names will pop up for you to follow up with. Sorry I can not help you-but good luck in your search.
