Hello,

Just thought I'd let you know that there are a bunch of us in England. We are in two families: Donato Anobile (my dad) in Manchester and Franco Anobile (his second cousin) in the Sheffield area. I think we total about 15 - 20 over here. Donato and Franco came to the UK from Genzano di Lucania. My Grandfather was Marco Anobile, but my Dad (shame on him!) doesn't know his own grandfather's name! He's just remembered that it's Donato Antonio Anobile (all from Genzano). Funnily enough, Franco's (in Sheffield) dad was also called Donato.

As far as I'm aware the Anobile name is pretty peculiar to that part of Italy. If you've never been, go, it's out of this world. Besides, it's one of the few places on the planet where people don't look at you funny when you tell them your name!

Hope this information is useful to somebody.
