Anders Jensen Andreson / Arnason

My name is Terry Lee Jemison-Ball. I live in the Seattle, Washington area. I am working on my family genealogy and have traced it back to an Icelandic family named Arnason.
I am the son of Doric William Jemison Ball, who was the son of Doric Tristan Jemison Ball, who was the son of Margrit Arnason and Doric S. Ball. Margrit Arnason also married to Anders Jensen Andreson following the death of Doric S. Ball. They lived in the Port Angeles, WA area. The first mention of the Arnason family in our family tree comes with Margrit Arnason, born 24 May 1862 in Iceland. She died in September of 1902. She is my great grand mother. She had a sister named Gertrude “Gertie” Arnason. I think her parents might have been Thorkel Arnason and “Dora,” but I am not sure. Thorkel and his sister Helga immigrated to the US from Iceland in about 1875. I also think that Thorkel and Dora had two sons, Dan and Jack.
After Margrit Arnason Andreson died in 1902, Anders J. Andreson married her sister, Gertrude. They had three children. Haldora “Hallie,” Margrit “Mickey,” and Dot. Dot married Joe Lonn. Haldora “Hallie” married a man named “Dwight,” Margrit “Mickey” married a name named “Roche.” I think! They all lived in the Port Angeles/ Victoria, B.C. area.

I am trying to put this all together but fear that I have it incorrect. Does any of this sound familiar to you? If so, please send me any and all information you might have on the Arnasons. If not, can you direct me to a member of your family who might have been bitten with the genealogy bug.

For your information, I have a lot of pictures of the Arnasons and Andresons that you might want to see. They are all in digital format, so I can email them to you if you are interested.

Thank you in advance for your help. I can be reached at tjball@lie2me.net.

Follow-Up on, A.L.ANDRESON

I have verified that
ANDRESON LORENSEN ANDRESON
aka; A.L.ANDRESON (ANDRESEN)
was not ever on the Cinncinate Police Force,
i did see a picture of him, when i was very young, in a uniform with a gun .
So the Police Department in Cinncinati, suggests that perhaps he was a private guard.

lovingly,
DoraLee

A.L.Andreson married my greatgrandmother RUBY ESMERALDA WILSON and lived in OHIO

Ruby Esmeralda Wilson was married to a man named A.L.Andreson or Andresen (I recvd both spellings from my mom) they could I think be either one.

They moved to Ohio in the mid to late 1920's to 1930.

They had two sons Herbert and Harold in addition to RUBY ESMERALDA WILSON's children with her spouse DAVID WILLIAM HELTON. RUBY resided in KNOX CO KNOXVILLE TENN and may have met Andreson in TN although it's a good chance that RUBY's WILSON family may have travelled between OHIO and TN by railroad back then and it connected with the Pulaski KY area ...
any other info would be appreciated.

I have no info pertaining to any family members mentioned..feel free to email me at kittyparton@yahoo.com

John and Andrew Andreson

They left Denmark in the late 1800's to forge out a future in America. They left their sisters behind. Andrew never married. There are four generations of John Andresons, the fourth being my father. We are trying to find out any information we can on the sisters who would have taken on married names.
The family came from the Schlesswig-Holstein region of Germany. We believe that they were there when it was Danish occupied as well.

If you have any information, please reply.

Thank you,

jennifer
