I have Anackers in my family history. I have traced them back to Charles Anager(spelling in the 1860 Saint Louis, MO census) born about 1826 in Saxony, Germany. His son, Charles Anacker, was born about 1857 in Hanover, Germany, and his daughter, Clara Eileen Anacker (my great-grandmother) was born in July 1879 in Illinois. If you have any information that would flesh out my history, please contact me. Thanks.

Hi- I have a great-great grandmother by the name of Louise Anacher who lived in the Clark County area of Illinois. Maybe it was spelled wrong also and may be Anacker, but I have no information about her.

Hi Kristina!
It's been many years since you've posted to this board, so I hope you get this. Have you found any further info on your Anacker family from Illinois?

In the 1880 Census for Collinsville, Madison, Illinois there is this family:

Charles Anacker self age: 23 Birth MO
Caroline Anacker wife age: 22 Birth IL
Clara Anacker dau age: 11month Birth IL
Ralph Billsmack Brother-Law Age: 12 Birth KS

I had noted this family in my files, hoping they'd be related to the Anacker's that originally settled in Wisconsin, but I have never found a connection.
