I am doing research of my husband's family tree and his grandfather's mother's name was Anna (Ana?) Anable. We are interested in finding out her parents' names and/or sibling's names if possible. I am guessing that there is some connection between Anna and this Nancy Anable from Yates County New York. What do you think?

Anable/Anibal/Anible,etc...

Nancy, in your post, you didn't mention where your Anable's were born. Do you know parents of the Anable?
Do you know or are you related to Greg Anable of Oregon now?
My line goes back to a John P Anibal/Anible/Annable, born in Saratoga County, NY in March of 1803. John P had been married twice and between the two he had 17 children. I have only found decendents of 9 of them so far. I think some may have been left with family or friends in NY or Ohio when John P, wife Polly and son, Joseph C. came to MI in 1838-ish.

I'm new to this business, but my mother
was Katherine Anibal, of Gloversville NY
(b 1906).
Her father was Robert S. Anibal, born in
Benson NY (near Northville, Fulton Co.).
It was a big
family but they have "daughtered out".

Robert's father was Cyrus Anibal. I hope
this might help you.

I am sure she was the daughter of Lucian Bonaparte Annable and Martha Shepard - both born in Yates Cty, NY.

Hi,
My ggreatgrandfather was a John Anable(Annable) b. in New York, also. Don't know if this is the same as yours. Did yours have a son Cornelius b. 26 Oct. 1842 in Stueben Co. New York?

Thanks
