There's a 3rd AN family in China

Traced back from a royal family in the Philipines. According to at least my family from East China and another AN family I have met recently from Northern China. A royal family member from the Philipines went to China to visit along with his family members about at least hundreds years ago. During the process, the father died. The Philippino tradition was that the children settle down where ever the father was rest in peace. So the family did. The Chinese emperor offered the family a Chinese lastname -- AN, which means PEACE, REST, ...

This is my family's story according to my grand father, and coincidentally, the lady from Northern China, whom I have met a few years ago, and whose last name was also AN, happened to have the same story.

It tells me that the family story has some historical facts in it.
